Defence Innovation Forum 2025: AEGIR presents the SENTINELLE project
At the 2025 Defence Innovation Forum, AEGIR presented SENTINELLE, a project developed with ONERA and supported by the French Defence Innovation Agency, for the protection of critical maritime infrastructure.
SENTINELLE addresses today’s maritime security challenges: designing, planning and supervising a multi-domain, multi-actor system to protect critical offshore infrastructure such as subsea cable hubs, offshore platforms and port approaches.
OCTOPUS, AEGIR’s Command & Control system, shows how interoperability between sensors, naval platforms, drones and open data feeding algorithms delivers enriched situational awareness, optimised dynamic planning and a fast, adapted response to contingencies.
These three days also highlighted the many use cases OCTOPUS can address: force projection, surveillance, mine warfare, electromagnetic warfare, theatre anti-submarine warfare and naval task force coordination. Thanks to the AID for this opportunity and to ONERA for an outstanding scientific collaboration.
