What this site collects today
This site sets no cookies and loads no third-party resources. The web server keeps no connection logs.
The application itself writes no access log either, and the only line it can produce is a technical delivery failure that deliberately excludes what you wrote.
The only personal data deliberately collected is what a visitor types into the contact form — whether to request a demonstration, to apply to join the team, or about anything else: name, organisation, role, work e-mail address, and the message itself.
Purpose
AEGIR uses these details to answer your request, and to follow up on the conversation it opens. An application is handled in the same way, for the same purpose and the same period. They are not used for any other purpose.
Legal basis
The processing rests on AEGIR’s legitimate interest in answering a request you chose to send, and in following up on the relationship it may open — Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Because the basis is legitimate interest and not consent, you may object to this processing at any time, without having to justify your request. See Your rights below.
Retention period
Requests are kept for three years from our last contact with you, and deleted at the end of that period.
Recipients
Requests are received by the AEGIR team responsible for incoming enquiries. They are not passed on to anyone outside AEGIR.
Two processors are involved, and no other. OVHcloud hosts the site itself, in France. Microsoft hosts the mailbox that receives the requests, as part of the Microsoft 365 service AEGIR uses.
Some processing by Microsoft may take place outside the European Union. It is covered by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission, which Microsoft applies through its data protection addendum.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have a right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction over your personal data, a right to object to its processing, and a right to data portability.
How to exercise them
Write to dpo@aegir.fr. We answer within one month of receiving your request, as the Regulation requires. We may ask you for proof of identity if there is reasonable doubt about who is asking — and only then.
If you consider that your rights are not respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
